For the Carte Blanche series at the Music Village the slovene bassist and composer brings together musicians of many origins from various musical backgrounds for 4 nights of celebration and creation through music and new encounters.
Georg Vogel is a musician from another universe from somewhere in the future. A composer of his solo programs and ensembles, especially in various tonal systems for newly developed enharmonic instruments with over seventy works. In addition to his work as a pianist, Georg Vogel publishes music theory treatises and also gives lectures on the topics of musical tuning systems, intonation, tone and rhythm systems in connection with composition and improvisation techniques.

Sam Comerford has made his way from Irish traditional music playing tin whistle and Irish flute to descovering love of the music of Charles Mingus which made him take up saxophone. Being surrounded by musicians such as Dave Douglas, Matana Roberts, Donny McCaslin and Drew Gress opened his mind to the possibilities of creative music.
Recipient of the "Toots Thielemans Award" and "Best Instrumentalist Award” at the Concours Tremplin Jazz d'Avignon is active on the European scene, he specialises in creative improvised music, playing tenor and bass saxophone.
Pierre Hurty knows how to present liquid with sound. His can be the sound of a river or the sea, the wind and the earth. His time is full of vivid colors and his harmony is timeless. A master of space-time.
