Elke samenleving heeft een zondebok nodig. Of het nou gaat om een politieke misstap, een zakelijk schandaal of een familievete, er móet iemand worden aangewezen. Iemand die de lasten draagt, de uitverkorene die de schuld op zich neemt. Een held én/of een slachtoffer. ‘De Zondebok - een hommage’ brengt een eerbetoon aan deze mythische rol en verkent diens complexe werking in de samenleving.
De voorstelling snijdt en vloeit door de thema's van schuld, verantwoordelijkheid en verlossing. Met ‘De Zondebok - een hommage' brengt cabaret collectief Aan Tafel een unieke theaterervaring vol liedjes, sketches en conferences.

Every society needs a scapegoat. Whether it’s a political misstep, a business scandal, or a family feud, someone must take the fall. Someone to bear the burden, the chosen one to take on the blame. A hero and/or a victim. "The Scapegoat - a tribute" pays homage to this mythical role and explores its complex dynamics within societies.
The show cuts and flows through themes of guilt, responsibility and redemption. With 'The Scapegoat - a hommage', cabaret collectief Aan Tafel delivers a unique theatre-experience filled with music, sketches and stories.
