Beats, Bodies & Books
een interdisciplinaire dans- en muziekavond waarin jonge componisten en choreografen gezamenlijk nieuw werk creëren.Met ruimte voor experiment, talentontwikkeling en ontmoeting biedt de avond een podium aan nieuwe artistieke stemmen.
Deze eerste avond bestaat uit drie nieuwe werken. Choreograaf
Tim Kromhout
en componist
Joop de Graaf
onderzoeken de relatie tussen jazz, hiphop en verhaallijnen door middel van beweging en geluid. Choreograaf
Estelle McGuinness
creëert samen met componist
Sterre Hond
een nieuw werk, uitgevoerd samen met danser Ainsley Nivens. Ook presenteren choreograaf
Diede Schuur
en componist
Maia Steinberg
het resultaat van hun gezamenlijke artistieke samenwerking.
Na afloop is het publiek welkom bij de Artist Talk in Café Belcampo, waar de makers worden geïnterviewd door
Gary Feingold
, directeur van Stichting KunstenDialoog.

As part of our new dance series
Second Saturdays Dance,
we introduce
Beats, Bodies & Books,
an interdisciplinary evening of dance and music in which young composers and choreographers collaborate to create new work. With a focus on experimentation, talent development, and connection, the evening provides a platform for emerging artistic voices.
This first edition features three new works. Choreographer
Tim Kromhout
and composer
Joop de Graaf
explore the relationship between jazz, hip-hop, and storytelling through movement and sound. Choreographer
Estelle McGuinness
collaborates with composer
Sterre Hond
on a new work, performed together with dancer Ainsley Nivens. Choreographer
Diede Schuur
and composer
Maia Steinberg
will also present the result of their collaborative artistic process.
After the performances, the audience is invited to join the Artist Talk at Café Belcampo, where the makers will be interviewed by
Gary Feingold
, director of Stichting KunstenDialoog.
