SAPPORO is een hedendaagse danssolo die de intieme ervaring van migratie onderzoekt via het lichaam van de performer. Het werk verkent ontheemding, herinnering en de persoonlijke heropbouw die ontstaat wanneer men zich in een onbekend territorium bevindt. Door een fysieke taal waarin hedendaagse dans en ballet samensmelten, onthult de solo de spanning tussen kwetsbaarheid, aanpassing en veerkracht. SAPPORO biedt een emotionele reis waarin het lichaam een archief wordt.
“SAPPORO” verdiept het onderzoek naar migratie door zich te richten op de meest intieme dimensie ervan: de transformatie van het individu. Via precieze en fysiek gedreven bewegingen onderzoekt de solo hoe iemand omgaat met onzekerheid, het gevoel van verbondenheid herdefinieert en een nieuw zelfbeeld opbouwt binnen een nieuw cultureel en emotioneel landschap. Het werk belicht de subtiele verschuivingen — fysiek, psychologisch en perceptueel — die tijdens deze overgang plaatsvinden. Met een minimalistische scenische benadering en een sterke focus op belichaamd vertellen nodigt “SAPPORO” het publiek uit voor een persoonlijke én universele reis van veerkracht en heruitvinding.

With a minimalist scenic approach and a strong emphasis on embodied storytelling, “SAPPORO” invites audiences into a personal yet universal journey of resilience and reinvention.
