ELSA is the bandproject by Vienna-based artist, composer and vocalist
Elsa Steixner
,
whose music flows from raw intensity to boundless tenderness. Praised as an
'
exceptional talent' by Austrian media, she has gained recognition for her poetic lyrics,
expressive voice, and genre-defying sound: '
Her distinctive voice clings to your ears
the
moment you first encounter her songs. She creates an immediate sense of trust — she
hypnotizes you in such a way that you can’t help but listen to her stories.'
ELSA has toured across Europe and beyond, performing at renowned festivals and
venues in New York, Paris, Avignon and Berlin, releasing two critically acclaimed albums
since 2023. Rooted in jazz yet unconstrained by genre, their music moves effortlessly
between folk, art-pop, blues, and exciting moments of improvisational freedom. In a
stripped-down duo setting,
Elsa Steixner
and
Julian Bazzanella
are captivating
audiences with an unmistakable tender touch on the piano and a voice that is both
delicate and
daring.
