A Tribute to the Great Classics of American Jazz
Dive into the heart of the golden age of jazz with Ananda Jazz Quartet, a musical project that celebrates the timeless masterpieces of the American repertoire. The band pays tribute to the greatest composers and performers of the 20th century (George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Jerome Kern) with occasional forays into jazzy & pop world music.
Ananda Jazz Quartet revisits these standards with freshness while respecting the essence of these legendary compositions. Legendary songs like "Summertime," "My Funny Valentine," "Autumn Leaves" and "Fly Me to the Moon" take on a new dimension, through modern arrangements mixing swing, ballads and inspired improvisations. A true immersion in the world of vocal and instrumental jazz!
