| Jurriaan de Kok is a double bass player from the Netherlands who studied at the conservatory of Rotterdam. This is where he won the prestigious ‘Erasmus Jazz Prize’ in 2017. Since then, Jurriaan has become familiar face on the Dutch Jazz Scene, bringing him to venues such as Lantaren Venster, Tivoli Vredenburg and the Bimhuis. As well as big festivals including North Sea Jazz & Amersfoort World Jazz Festival. Jurriaans playing is a fine balance between modern jazz, blues and bebop, resulting in swinging bass lines and adventurous solos.

| Contrabassist Jurriaan de Kok studeerde af aan het conservatorium van Rotterdam, waar hij in 2017 de prestigieuze ‘Erasmus Jazz Prize’ won. Sindsdien heeft hij zijn strepen verdient in de Nederlandse Jazz scene. Dit bracht hem in verschillende samenstellingen langs podia als Lantaren Venster, Tivoli Vredenburg en het Bimhuis maar ook festivals zoals North Sea Jazz en Amersfoort World Jazz Festival. Jurriaans spel is een fijne balans tussen moderne sferische jazz, blues en bebop. Wat resulteert is swingende baslijnen en solo’s vol avontuur.
