Montis & Menu Cookbook
. Met een knipoog naar de legendarische bariton/Hammond-combinaties uit de jazzgeschiedenis zoeken deze twee van oorsprong Zeeuwse musici naar de ultieme sound en drive van deze spannende instrument combinatie. Niet door te kopiëren, maar door te eren – en daar hun geheel eigen draai aan te geven.
Het recept
Montis & Menu Cookbook staat voor pure groove en improvisatie, waarin rauwe energie en lyrische verstilling elkaar afwisselen. De diepe klank van de bariton en de warme gloed van de Hammond vormen de basis. Met gitaar en drums erbij ontstaat een dynamisch kwartet met een repertoire van opzwepende swing tot intieme ballads.
