Ensemble Amaracus presenteert een zeventiende-eeuws programma met muziek voor strijkensemble en klavecimbel. De muziek kenmerkt zich door contrasten: ritmische dansen worden afgewisseld door lyrische, harmonische passages, waarbij de violen, altviolen, de cello en het klavecimbel beurtelings het initiatief nemen. Van humor tot klaagzang, van trots tot troosteloos, de muziek neemt de luisteraar op reis door vele emoties!

Ensemble Amaracus presents a program of 17th c. music for string ensemble and harpsichord. The music is full of contrasts: rhythmical dances interchange with lyrical harmonic passages, as the violins, violas, cello and harpsichord all take initiative. Humour and lament, majesty and melancholy, the music leads the listener through many changes of emotion!
