Spring Festival

Spring Festival is the longest-running festival of contemporary music in the Netherlands. Over five days the festival offers the chance to hear the latest music from the Royal Conservatoire’s Composition department, including the results of all of the major group projects. For the first time, the festival is being organised from and includes performances in Amare, the Conservatoire’s new home in The Hague. The programme in recent years has increasingly featured collaborative projects with other institutions and professional companies, who this year will include Korzo, the Royal Academy of Art and the New European Ensemble.

On Monday 4 April, the Ensemble Academy will perform works by Martijn Padding, Calliope Tsoupaki and newly commissioned works by Aart Strootman.
