LIVE AT OUR PLACE: RVILLA MET A DRAGON + SING THE BODY ELECTRONIC

For the November edition of Live at Our Place, we offer some funky Hip Hop music with Rvilla Met A Dragon and ambient/electro landscapes with Sing the Body Electronic.

Live at our Place is a series of monthly intimate concerts by Treehouse NDSM’s musicians-in-residence. Our industrial Pavilion building will be turned into the musicians’ own living room, tuned each time to their own particular style and vibe. We invite you to our place, grab a drink, sit on the couch (or dance!), and enjoy the tunes that our talented community is working on during their stay at Treehouse NDSM.

ABOUT RVILLA MET A DRAGON

Rvilla Met A Dragon (a.k.a. RMAD) is a hip-hop group based in Amsterdam. Drawing influences from soul, jazz and rock, the five member-band performs original lyrics written by vocalist Rvilla. The songs are composed by the band, which constitutes a wide array of both musical and cultural backgrounds. The story-telling is raw and journal-like, using both English and French, pulling the audience in with an emotional and intimate delivery . RMAD is currently working on their debut album "Even Sweet Peas Can Get Angry", an unapologetically honest perspective on love, life, and society.

ABOUT SING THE BODY ELECTRONIC

Sing the Body Electronic sonically explores the intersection between ambient and improvisational music using field recordings, piano, guitar and technology to create new spaces, employing storytelling as a guiding means.

Members:

Freelink (Jason Clark) is a DJ, sound artist, producer, and sonic paradigm architect at the no thing. Based in Amsterdam. Freelink chucks sonic baths through iron jungles: odd sounds, fun rhythms, eclectic energy, screeching highs, contorted beings, algorithmic data, & virtual oscillations.

Amedeo Feingold is a composer, pianist, and sound designer. Born into a family of classical dancers, Amedeo has been in the midst of an artistic environment focused on space, movement, and perception. Naturally, these elements all come back in his compositions: settings are created, sounds are evolving and changes are embraced. Imagine hearing plants grow and landscapes communicate.
