DORR presents Ekho

Op zaterdag 1 juni om 20u geeft Dorr een concert temidden van het werk van eric setz, Greg Que, Kris Molema en Leslie Kamps tijdens de openingstentoonstelling van Y2 in de Poelestraat 16-18. Vanwege deze tentoonstelling zijn de deuren al open vanaf 16u. Maar let op: de deuren gaan dicht om 20u. Het concert begint (even) daarna. “Entry on donation”

An immersive concert based on Ovid’s Echo, with songs influenced by the parallels between the ancient myth and the modern world of digital communication.

Join us in this performance of a modern reworking of an ancient myth at Y2 in downtown Groningen Poelestraat 16-18.

Minimalist analogue electronics, warm waves of noisy shimmering drones and cold industrial clangs are meshed with skittering intricate microbeats, dense layers of bold expressive experimental guitar, performed with a variety of effects and implements (electric razors, vibrators, wooden bows). Forming a textural cocoon for the deep and intimate voice, framing the songs with a distinctive atmosphere that is simultaneously delicate and bombastic, full of glittering darkness and luminescent emotion.

The event is free but donations are very welcome.
